It’s not easy to get an acting role, especially if you’re an unmarried mother. Sylvana’s grandmother often helps out by looking after baby Eddie, but more often she gets annoyed because her granddaughter is still just a child herself, or at least behaves like one. Sylvana’s naivety and lack of talent are often comical to watch, but at the same time we do feel sympathy when she’s laughed at by her family.

Alex Casianov was born in 1988 in Moldova. In 2008 he began to study art history at the University of Warsaw, and in 2011 directing at the Krzysztof Kieslowski Faculty of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia in Katowice.
