Jaś likes to spend time with his mother Joanna. The gentle intimacy between mother and son, the intensity of their relationship, is tangible every moment; listening to insects in the grass, cooking together and talking about what is important in life. Since Joanna heard her diagnosis and knows that she only has a few more months to live, she wants to give the five-year-old Jaś as much as she can. In a blog she starts to write about her ambitions: holidaying with the family in the Masurian Lake District. Being with him when Jaś rides his bicycle for the first time without training wheels.

Aneta Kopacz is a director, screenwriter and editor. She graduated from
the Psychology Department of Warsaw University and took a post-graduate
course in Reportage Studies at the Institute of Journalism. She as made a number of independent documentaries, including “Spacer” (“A Stroll”), for which she was nominated for the Juliusz Machulski Polish Independent Cinema Award in the category Best Documentary.
