Poetically, humourously, truthfully and with her own special precision, the filmmaker examines why the world is the place it is. She asks herself why beauty is often found in simplicity, why something becomes ridiculous when it’s taken too seriously. And what about a game? When does it start to become serious? A quiet dialogue between worlds and perspectives. 

Laila Pakalnina graduated in 1991 from the Moscow Film Institute’s Department of Film Direction. Director and scriptwriter of 25 documentaries, 5 shorts, 4 fiction features. So she has 34 films, 2 children, 1 husband, 1 dog and 1 bicycle. And many ideas for new films. Her films have been screened in official programmes of festivals in Cannes, Venedig, Berlin, Locarno and Rome. They have won awards at many international festivals.
