Outside the stadium a mascot greets the team prior to their match. In a crematorium coffins are being prepared for cremation. Exquisite photographs show everyday life in Copenhagen; this multi-plot film in search of an identity and a place to belong is moving, amusing and thought-provoking. “Blessed be this place” - people-watching in places where life is meaningful and comprehensible.

Carl Olsson has just finished his final year as documentary director at the National Film School of Denmark, Copenhagen. He previously studied, among other places, at Nordens Folkhögskola Biskops Arnö in Stockholm and took courses at the Stockholm Dramatiska Institutet. His films have been screened at several international festival such as Camerimage in Poland, Sichuan TV Festival in China and Göteborg International Film Festival in Sweden. In 2014 Carl Olsson was nominated for a Danish Robert Award for his graduation film “Blessed be this place”.
